Here is a great recipe to bring for a 4th of July BBQ that are all natural, easy to make, and of course delicious. Have a Happy 4th of July!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups of almond meal or grounded oats
1/2 cup of sliced almonds and other preferred nut choice (we used pecans and walnut too)
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 pinch of pink Himalayan salt
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
2 tbsp of honey
1 tbsp of coconut oil
1/2 cup of nut butter
1/4 cup of almond milk or preferred milk choice
1/8 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup of blueberries
1/4 cup of gogi berries
Step 1: Mix the dry ingredients, minus the shredded coconut and berries, and then add the nut butter, honey, coconut oil, and the vanilla extract
Step 2: Stir the mixture and use your hands to work in all the ingredients. Add the almond milk one spoonful at a time till there is no more loose powder and it clumps together
Step 4: With hands press the dough until it forms a layer of an inch or more around the tray
Step 5: Stick the berries into the dough and sprinkle shredded coconut on top
Step 6: Chill the bars for an hour or overnight and then cut the bars. You can store the bars in freezer for up to a month if you choose to make them for your self.
