Face
Prep for Special Occasions
Everybody always wants to feel your best before a big
event. Which is probably why us girls spend so much time preparing every detail
of our look days before. One thing I include is to prep my face to ensure my skin looks radiant and so that makeup is applied smoothly.
Here
are 5 things I do to prep my skin for any special occasion:
ONE:
Exfoliate and Purifying mask night before:
Before
a big day I love to use my Body Works Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator
and Boots No 7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Mask. This combo is amazing! It leaves
my skin feeling silky smooth.
TWO:
Natural oils the night before:
I
like to use natural vitamin E oil with my moisturizer, so I can make sure my
skin is plump the next day. Natural oils work faster and more effectively with
your skin. Just make sure you use the right one for your skin type (LINK).
THREE:
Cold wet towel in the morning:
I
stick a wet towel in the fridge the night before and in the morning I put it on
my face for a few minute. This reduces any puffiness and close pores. If you
don’t have time for this just splash cold water on your face.
FOUR:
Put oil-free SPF if the event is during the day:
If
the event is during the day, make sure your SPF is oil free so that your makeup is not
sliding off. Also avoid any thick oil moisturizer for the same reason.
FIVE:
Put primer under your makeup:
This
is one any beauty junkie knows. Primer helps minimize pores, smooth the skin,
and makes your makeup last longer. Also spritzing makeup setting spray keeps your makeup in place
